Cristina García Rodero, La tarde, 1978
Para celebrar el Premio Internacional de Fotografía Ciudad de Alcobendas que le fue concedido en 2011, Cristina García Rodero ha seleccionado de su larga trayectoria fotografías cuyas protagonistas son mujeres. Además, se proyectan los vídeos de los videos María Lizonda– en el que se describen las manifestaciones del culto al mítico personaje ‘La diosa de los ojos de agua’, en Venezuela- y Entre el cielo y la tierra, donde García Rodero indaga sobre la espiritualidad y el cuerpo.
Este galardón se suma a los premios: Fotografía Humanista W. Eugene Smith(1989), Dr. Erich Salomon( 1990), Nacional de Fotografía (1996), Bartolomé Ros de PHotoEspaña (2000), Godó de Fotoperiodismo (2000), la Medalla de Oro al Mérito en las Bellas Artes (2005).
